What is DSCvesta2?

DSCvesta2 is a differential scanning calorimeter to measure thermal energy changes in a sample during heating or cooling. By monitoring these energy changes, the instrument provides precise information on thermal events in materials.

The Thermo plus EVO3 series DSCvesta2 is be user-friendly while delivering high-performance measurements, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced users.

Temperature and cooling options of the Differential Scanning Calorimeter

The DSCvesta2 offers a wide temperature range with multiple cooling options:

  • Refrigerated cooling: −95 °C to 725 °C
  • LN₂ auto-filling cooling: −150 °C to 725 °C
  • LN₂ direct cooling: −180 °C to 725 °C
  • Circulator cooling: −10 °C to 725 °C

The refrigerated cooling unit enables continuous heating and cooling from −95 °C to 725 °C without liquid nitrogen replenishment.

Measurement control and accuracy

  • Advanced temperature hold control: maintains temperature without preliminary measurements, reducing overshoots or undershoots.
  • Calibration and multiple references: you can configure and select up to three reference pans per sample.
  • Human error prevention: includes alerts and warning lamps to prevent overheating beyond the sample pan material limits.

Automatic Sample Changer (ASC)

  • Enables continuous measurement of up to 52 samples with up to 1000 consecutive runs.
  • Supports automatic reference sample exchange and calibration functions.
  • Gas flow can be introduced to minimize exposure to the atmosphere, useful for hygroscopic powder samples.
  • Can be added later without extra installation space, allowing flexible upgrades.

Software features

  • Multifunctional software supports mass flow control, cooling fan ON/OFF, ECO mode, automatic device shutdown, and device usage history.
  • Analysis software provides peak enhancement, baseline correction, noise reduction, and automated analysis functions.
  • License-free installation on multiple PCs.
